Job summary

Youth Care Treatment Center in Draper, UT seeks a PRN Registered Nurse to join our behavioral health team. The shifts are 12 hours, with weekend coverage, offering a flexible, rewarding role in a premier program for youth and families.

The RN will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, document records, and coordinate with physicians under state regulations. A current Utah RN license and CPR/de-escalation certification are required; psychiatric nursing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current Registered Nurse license as required by Utah employment or eligibility.
One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral or substance use background a plus.
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available).
First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about various health conditions.
Administer medications per order and document appropriately.
Ensure compliant nursing treatment plans upon admission and ongoing patient status assessment.
Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff.
