Job summary

Miramont Behavioral Health in Middleton, Wisconsin, is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to provide patient care on an on-site unit. You will supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, develop care plans, and reassess patients to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families about medications and safety while maintaining patient rights and working within an acute psychiatric setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• 1+ year nursing experience, clinical setting preferred.
• Behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery experience preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards in an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and behavioral health needs and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and verify with patient identifiers.
• Document medical records and communicate with interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families about medications and safety.
• Coordinate admission, discharge, and hand-off reports.
