Job summary

CLFC Healthcare and Communications is seeking a New York-licensed RN for an on-site role at Wayne County’s outpatient behavioral health clinic in Lyons. You’ll manage medications, including long-acting injectables, monitor metabolic health, educate patients, and collaborate with prescribers and therapists to improve outcomes.

This weekday daytime position runs Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted New York State RN license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current BLS (CPR).
• One year of recent RN experience that includes psychiatric, behavioral health or substance use treatment.
• Able to complete the New York State Department of Health Criminal History Record Check and a drug screen, and current on the clinic's required immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document oral and injectable psychiatric medications, including long-acting injectables.
• Monitor vital signs, metabolic screening and side effects, and keep the prescriber informed.
• Teach patients and families about their medications and treatment plans.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists and care managers.
• Document in the clinic's electronic health record and respond to clinical emergencies per clinic protocol.
