Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
• Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients, educate about mental and medical conditions, and provide support to patients and families; include crisis intervention and group activities.
• Administer treatment and medications, operate medical machinery, and assist with patient care.
• Record patients' histories, help perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, and assist with follow-up and rehabilitation.
• Support patients and families with care plans and education, including crisis response as needed.
