Qualifications

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team processes and daily nursing functions in behavioral health units.
• Understanding continuum of care for behavioral health care.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients, educate patients about conditions, and provide emotional support.
• Record medical histories, assist with diagnostics, and analyze results.
• Administer treatments and medications, and assist with follow-up and rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, diet, exercise, and self-management of care.
