Starr Regional Medical Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for the 24-bed unit in Etowah, TN. The role focuses on dementia with behavioral disturbances in patients aged 50 and above, with a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio and weekly coverage including weekends.

This full-time night shift offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. The RN will conduct assessments, develop and implement care plans, supervise staff, manage admissions/discharges, and ensure

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire; PALS required within 6 months of hire or department transfer.
• Licensed RN in Tennessee or a Compact State with Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition.
• Establishes a care plan in collaboration with the patient and family.
• Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during the shift.
• Determines staffing levels based on census, acuity, and staff availability.
• Provides direct patient care and assists with problem-solving across shifts.
• Coordinates admissions, discharges, transfers and transfers with care team.
