Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct behavioral health care in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

The candidate must hold CT RN licensure, have an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), and a current BLS certification. Prior acute psychiatric care experience and MOAB leadership skills are advantageous for collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must be a CT-licensed Registered Nurse.
• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• BLS Provider certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and MOAB training valuable.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to behavioral health patients per policies.
• Develops and documents a comprehensive nursing care plan with patient/family.
• Participates in treatment conferences and adjusts goals/interventions as needed.
• Performs assessments and monitors patient status; communicates changes to the team.
• Delegates care appropriately to nursing staff to meet patients' needs.
