Job summary

Oceans Healthcare, in partnership with Norman Regional Health System, is expanding behavioral health services with a new 48-bed hospital in south central Oklahoma. The RN will lead milieu management, direct nursing staff, and ensure safe, evidence‑based care for adults and seniors with behavioral health needs.

The role emphasizes documentation, coordination, and compliance with regulatory standards. The position requires RN licensure, a minimum nursing degree, and preference for inpatient

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to a high stress environment and assess potential for patient escalation.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to internal and external customers.
• Must maintain CPR certification and Oceans approved de-escalation program.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing process to develop an individualized plan of care.
• Administers medications as prescribed and provides patient education.
• Documents care and progress accurately in medical records.
• Assists with staff delegation and continuity of care across shifts.
• Float among clinical services as needed and support patient safety.
