Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• AZ or Compact State RN license in good standing.
• CPR and CPI certification.
• Minimum of one year psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient safety through awareness of the environment of care.
• Communicates patient safety issues quickly and clearly.
• Participates as a member of the treatment team and collaborates on patient needs.
• Implements nursing care plans per physician orders and facility policies.
• Adheres to safe practice in medication administration.
• Provides medication education and answers questions about medications.
• Interacts with patients, families, and staff professionally.
• Documents assessments, plans, nursing notes, med records and education.
• Intervenes with patients during behavioral crises and ensures safety.
• Exhibits leadership by directing the team and communicating patient status.
