Job summary

Haven Behavioral Healthcare, an Oceans Healthcare Company, in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead milieu management and direct patient care in a behavioral health setting. You will assess patients, implement individualized plans, administer medications, and ensure documentation meets policy and regulatory standards.

The role requires an active RN license (state), a nursing degree (Associate), and CPR/de-escalation training; inpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and active RN license in the state of employment.
• Valid Compact licenses acceptable.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to form an individualized plan of care and treatment modalities.
• Identifies risk levels and discharge planning; initiates interventions to meet outcomes.
• Demonstrates knowledge of psychiatric disorders and appropriate nursing interventions.
• Administers medications as prescribed safely and provides education on medications.
• Maintains accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
• Reviews and updates medical records according to policy; documents physician orders.
• Coordinates care, communicating needs to staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Manages staff assignments and delegates duties; supports colleagues and patients as needed.
• Uses nursing knowledge to meet patient needs and supports evidence-based practice.
• Float among clinical services and perform other duties as assigned.
