Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a fulltime day shift (7a-7p). A sign-on bonus is eligible for this position. The role involves direct patient care within a behavioral health scope, collaborating with an interprofessional team to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include RN license, BSPS if applicable, and certifications such as BLS; ACLS/PALS within six months. Prior nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition to care team and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Coordinate care with transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Deliver age- and culture-appropriate patient and family education.
• Support performance improvement and continuing education.
• May be assigned to other shifts/units and on-call as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
