Job summary

TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health on the full-time day shift. A $5k sign-on bonus is offered. The inpatient unit serves adults 18+, with a 12-hour day schedule and weekend rotation.

The team emphasizes compassionate, holistic care and a strong collaboration among RNs, LPNs, ACTs, therapists, and social workers. Applicants should have an RN license and an associate degree or diploma in nursing; BSN within 5 years is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• New hires must obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Registered Nurse licensure is required.
• Experience in behavioral/psych nursing is preferred but not required.
• Membership in a professional organization is preferred.
• Certification in a specialty is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
• Develop and update individualized plans of care, including discharge planning.
• Provide safe, patient-centered care that respects autonomy and diversity.
• Recognize emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy.
• Complete care and documentation within required timeframes.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to other team members.
• Serve as a clinical resource and support staff training.
