Job summary

Baptist Medical Center seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Behavioral Health Unit on a full-time day shift. You will provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with staff, and involve patients and families in care planning.

Education on disease processes and plans of care is integral, and you will advocate for patients across medical, surgical, or behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• AA/AS degree or higher in nursing.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• ACLS within 6 months for Adult EDs; PALS within one year. Driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides for patient needs using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) and supervises care by staff.
• Involves patients and families in developing individualized plans of care.
• Educates patients and families about disease processes and plans of care.
• Acts as patient advocate delivering care for medical/surgical conditions and minor injuries.
