Job summary

Tenet North Cal seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health for a full-time daytime position in Modesto, California. The RN will provide direct patient care within the Behavioral Health department, following the nursing process to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, CA RN licensure, BLS, CPI training within 30 days, and the ability to manage potentially combative patients while coordinating care with the Nursing Director/Shift Manager.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of psychodynamic principles and fundamentals of psychotherapy.
• Knowledge of basic diagnostic categories of mental illness.
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and disease entities and interventions.
• Ability to interact with and manage patients who may be combative.
• Proficient nursing skills and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.
• This position is subject to overtime, shift work, working holidays and weekends, standby, and callback assignments.
