Job summary

Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital in Malden, MA is seeking a full-time Days Registered Nurse. Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license as required by the state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral or substance use nursing experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Provide nursing care within standards of nursing practice as defined by state regulations and policies.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed correctly.
• Assess patient status continuously and document findings.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status.
• Complete admission and discharge processing accurately.
• Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients and staff and uphold professional boundaries.
• Coordinate unit activities as directed.
• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.
