Job summary

Memorial's Behavioral Health Unit provides acute inpatient care for adults in emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. Nurses on the 10-bed unit play a critical role in assessment, support, medication management, and compassionate care focused on safety and recovery.

Working closely with Mental Health Techs, social workers, psychiatrists, and a full interdisciplinary team, nurses care for the whole person—not just the diagnosis.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license.
• Associates or better in Nursing.
• Bachelors or better in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, support, and medication management for adults in crisis.
• De-escalate fear, build trust, and promote recovery.
• Collaborate with Mental Health Techs, social workers, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and an interdisciplinary team.
