Job summary

Johnson Memorial Health in Franklin, IN is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a Behavioral Health Unit. You will conduct initial assessments within 24 hours, develop and coordinate treatment plans, work with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure accurate documentation and discharge planning.

The role requires Indiana RN licensure, BLS/CPR, ALS/ACLS, crisis prevention certification, and 1 year of experience preferred; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana license as a Registered Nurse required.
• BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers and ALS or ACLS certifications required.
• Crisis prevention certification required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes initial nursing assessment within 24 hours of admission or per policy; reassesses routinely.
• Completes individualized treatment plan for each patient.
• Plans, implements, and coordinates nursing care activities for patients.
• Performs treatment interventions following physician orders.
• Maintains patient dignity and respects patient values.
• Assists with patient personal needs as required.
• Operates and participates in tele psych.
• Draws patient blood as ordered.
• Collaborates with physicians and multi-disciplinary team; prepares discharge plans and accurate histories.
• Completes all required nursing staff competencies and mentors new staff.
• Ensures quality of care by adhering to standards and conducting chart audits.
• Provides emotional and psychological support to patients and families.

Education

Registered Nurse license (Indiana)
