Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Charleston, SC is interviewing for a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

The RN will assess patient needs, perform nurse-driven procedures, document care, and advocate for evidence-based, holistic treatment plans while ensuring safety and compassionate support for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• < 1 year applicable experience.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
• Manages the continuation of care by serving as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems who coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups.

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care per the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
