Job summary

New Horizons of the Treasure Coast is seeking a Behavioral Health Recovery Support Technician in Fort Pierce, FL to support adults and children with behavioral health needs. The role involves direct patient care, crisis response, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team within a psychiatric or community setting.

Starting rate is discussed based on experience, and candidates must be able to work weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's student in Social Services to gain field experience.
• CNA experience or credential is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assists in daily course of treatment for new and existing clients, observation, and referral of clients presenting for services.
• Takes direction from charge nurse and for Screening.
• Recognizes signs of aggressive behavior and responds promptly to crisis situations.
• Utilizes verbal and physical intervention non-violent crisis intervention techniques to redirect and prompt clients to safe behavior.
• Completes shift duties efficiently and meets time requirements (checks, searches, etc).
• Maintains client records in the medical chart in correct sequence and according to protocol.

Education

Bachelor's student in Social Services

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
