Job summary

County of Lake seeks a Behavioral Health Program Manager to plan, develop, and manage behavioral health, MHSA, and compliance programs under general direction. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating with providers, and ensuring funding compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of public or private mental health experience, including leadership roles. Travel across the county may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, psychology, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or a closely related field.
• AND Four (4) years of full-time professional experience working in a public or private agency mental health, health services, or social services program, including two (2) years in a supervisory or management capacity.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of staff engaged in the delivery of behavioral health programs and compliance programs and services.
• Prepares budget information; represents the department with the public, community organizations, and other government jurisdictions.
• Provides professional and technical consultation on complex program matters.
• Directs the gathering of statistical information and the preparation of a variety of department reports.
