Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a program leader to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure regulatory compliance. You will coordinate clinical, operational, and administrative teams to promote high-quality patient care and work with partners and leadership to align services with strategic goals.

The role requires clinical licenses (RN, Social Worker, LPC, or Psychologist), plus 2+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• RN, Social Worker, LPC, or Psychologist licenses required with active state license.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clinical compliance with all regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
• Coordinate across clinical, operational, and administrative teams to promote quality care.
• Serve as main contact for community partners, executive leadership and external funding bodies.
• Maintain knowledge base of clinical concepts and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
• Apply planning, operationalizing, and evaluating services for the program.
• Manage day-to-day operations including financial management and staffing.
• Collect data, prepare reports, and analyze statistics.
• Interview, hire, develop, train, and retain employees; plan and lead work.
• Oversee overall service offerings to ensure cost-effective clinic operations.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day oversight and operations of the program.

What you will do

• Ensures clinical compliance with all regulatory agencies, governing health care delivery and the standards of accrediting bodies.
• Coordinates across clinical, operational, and administrative teams to promote quality care for patients.
• Acts as the main point of contact for community partners, executive leadership and external funding bodies.
• Maintains current knowledge base of clinical concepts, use of evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and services, reimbursement issues and regulations
• Demonstrates initiative in applying knowledge related to planning, operationalizing, and evaluating services
• Manages, supervises and coordinates day-to-day operations of the program to include but not limited to financial management, staffing and services offered by the program. Duties are performed in such a manner as to ensure the clinic operates in an efficient cost-effective manner.
• Collects data, prepares reports, and analyzes statistics, and answers correspondence.
• Demonstrates initiative in applying knowledge relative to planning, operationalizing and evaluating services.
• Performs patient care activities as may be required.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire or
• Certified Social Worker - Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire or
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) - South Dakota Board of Examiners for Counselors & Marriage and Family Therapists Upon Hire or
• Psychologist - Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
• Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

• Bachelor's
• Master's in behavioral science, healthcare related field or business
• 4-6 years Leadership experience
