Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, a part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician in Johnston, IA to support mental health and specialty pharmacy operations. You will dispense prescriptions under a Registered Pharmacist, handle clerical duties, and help maintain compliance with federal and state requirements.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CT. Active Iowa license and reliable transportation are required; CPT/CDT data entry and LTC experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Experience with pharmacy data entry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and clinic staff.
• Fill prescription orders and verify under supervision of Pharmacist.
• Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Process wholesaler medication orders.
• Verify medication stock and record inventory in computer system.
• Assist Pharmacist with pharmacy functions and compliance with regulations.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
• Maintain clear verbal and written communications.
