Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is hiring for a patient care technician/nursing assistant in a behavioral health unit. The role involves direct patient care, assistance with daily activities, and teamwork with a multidisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality care.

Position features rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays with pay between $18.00 and $23.50 per hour. Must meet CNA requirements; minimum age 16; on-site at the Sioux Falls location.

Qualifications

• High School or GED or equivalent required.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification required or pending licensure.

Responsabilités

• Provides safe direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, feeding, and monitoring patients.
• Responds to patient call lights and assists with inquiries and errands for department staff.
• Ambulates patients, assists in and out of wheelchairs, and assists with transport as needed.
• Performs clerical duties related to admissions, transfers, and chart preparation.
• Maintains orderly patient rooms and handles supplies and equipment as directed.
