Job summary

The MetroHealth System’s Behavioral Health Center in Cleveland Heights is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant to join the General Adult Psychiatry unit. The role covers 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays, bi-weekly hours of 72, on a 20-bed unit.

Responsibilities include therapeutic listening, de-escalation, crisis management, and milieu management, with teamwork among LPNs, nurses, providers, and social workers. Requires High School Diploma and BLS certification or within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a team environment with good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
