Job summary

Community Health Choice, Inc. in Houston seeks a Manager, Behavioral Health to oversee day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health team, support the Director in clinical operations, and ensure regulatory compliance and quality goals are met.

You will supervise staff, monitor case management and utilization workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality care to members.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or counseling.
• Current unrestricted license in Texas: LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, or LPC.
• 5 years of combined case management and utilization management experience.
• 2 years of direct supervisory/management experience in a managed care environment.
• Advanced PC skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health team to support productivity and quality.
• Monitors staff assignments, workflow, pended cases, and workload distribution.
• Conducts routine audits of UM/CM staff and coordinators; escalates as needed.
• Coordinates clinical rounds and coaches staff in preparing case summaries and presentations.
• Supports onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training for assigned staff.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve care and service delivery.
