Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Behavioral Health Operations Manager to support the Operations Director in overseeing behavioral health operations across multiple state territories and skilled nursing facility locations. This role is responsible for supporting operational consistency, program performance, regulatory compliance, and the effective delivery of behavioral health services within post-acute care settings.

The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare operations, provider relations, and skilled nursing or post-acute care environments, with the ability to coordinate initiatives across multiple locations and collaborate with facility leadership, clinical teams, providers, and internal stakeholders.

This position plays a key role in improving operational efficiency, strengthening provider relationships, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and applicable regulatory standards across assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-State Operations Oversight: Support the Operations Director in coordinating and monitoring behavioral health operations across multiple state territories and skilled nursing facility locations.
• Operational Performance: Monitor facility and program performance metrics, including service delivery, patient satisfaction, quality indicators, and operational efficiency. Identify opportunities for improvement and assist with implementing corrective actions.
• Behavioral Health Program Coordination: Support the coordination and consistency of behavioral health services within skilled nursing facilities, working closely with clinical leadership and providers to address operational needs.
• Provider Relations: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with behavioral health providers, facility administrators, clinical teams, and other key stakeholders to support service delivery and resolve operational concerns.
• Regulatory Compliance: Assist in implementing policies, procedures, and operational practices that align with applicable federal and state healthcare regulations, facility requirements, and organizational standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication between facility teams, providers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure consistent workflows and timely resolution of operational issues.
• Process Improvement: Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, service coordination, provider engagement, and overall program performance.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare, review, and communicate operational reports, performance trends, and updates to the Operations Director to support informed decision-making.
• Training and Development: Assist with developing and implementing staff education, operational guidance, and performance improvement initiatives across assigned territories.
• Issue Resolution: Coordinate the timely resolution of operational concerns, service disruptions, and escalated issues across multiple facilities and state territories.
• Industry Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of behavioral health services, skilled nursing facility operations, post-acute care practices, and relevant regulatory developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Behavioral Health, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in provider relations, healthcare partnerships, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a post-acute care setting, skilled nursing facility, or assisted living environment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare operations, program coordination, or operational management.
• Skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience required.
• Experience coordinating operations, programs, or provider services across multiple facilities or geographic regions preferred.
• Familiarity with behavioral health services and their coordination within skilled nursing or post-acute care settings preferred.
• Working knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and operational best practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and work independently in a hybrid or remote environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with healthcare management systems, reporting tools, or related software preferred.
• Ability to travel to assigned facilities or territories as operational needs require, if applicable.
