Job summary

Focus Healthcare of Tennessee LLC is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in leading safe, compliant, patient-centered care across Substance Use Disorder and Eating Disorder programs. You will provide day-to-day nursing supervision, coordinate staffing with acuity, and serve as a clinical resource for leaders and frontline staff.

This role emphasizes trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care, strong teamwork with nursing, medical, psychiatric, and therapy

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Tennessee RN license.
• 2–3 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, eating disorder treatment, psychiatric nursing, acute care or related setting.
• CPR or BLS certification as required by policy/regulation.
• Proficient with electronic health records and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations across Substance Use Disorder and Eating Disorder units in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
• Coordinate staffing plans with acuity, census, and program needs; supervise the Staffing Coordinator.
• Support audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ensure regulatory readiness and patient safety.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to nursing staff; participate in leadership meetings and care discussions.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and high-risk clinical processes; on-call coverage as needed.
