Job summary

Saint Clare's Health in New Jersey is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Behavioral Health Unit. The role supports daily living activities, delivers basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under RN supervision.

Full-time position with night shifts. Candidates should have a CNA certificate (preferred) and current BLS; knowledge of medical terminology is required. A Behavioral Violence Prevention certificate within 6 months is also expected.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire (preferred).
• BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days and maintained.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Under direction, contributes to patient safety and supports the healthcare team in the Behavioral Health Unit.
