Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Independence, MO and Kansas City, MO is seeking an LPN, RN, or Nurse Care Manager to join a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. You will provide direct nursing care, support treatment planning, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to promote recovery and wellbeing.

Qualified applicants hold an active Missouri LPN or RN license and have a patient-centered approach. Experience with mental health or substance use disorders is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri
• Ability to provide nursing services in accordance with professional standards of practice
• Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care and support to individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder services
• Assess clients' physical and emotional health needs and contribute to individualized treatment planning
• Administer medications and monitor client progress, responses to treatment, and overall wellbeing
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
• Educate clients and family members about mental health conditions, treatment options, medications, and self-care strategies
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams regarding client status, concerns, and treatment recommendations
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
• Promote a safe, supportive, and recovery-oriented environment that respects the dignity and individuality of each client
