Job summary

Hope Haven Inc. in North Carolina seeks a dedicated Medication Specialist to support safe medication administration, documentation, and monitoring within a 24/7 residential behavioral health program.

You will collaborate with the NP, clinical team, and pharmacy partners to maintain MARs, coordinate appointments, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and medication-management requirements. CPR/First Aid certification must be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration Certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to engage respectfully with a diverse population and maintain professional boundaries.
• Knowledge of confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to resident medication needs during shifts.
• Maintain and update MARs for assigned residents.
• Conduct weekly reviews of medication records and needs.
• Assist with audits and correct documentation deficiencies.
• Complete incident reports for medication errors or adverse events.
• Coordinate and schedule medical appointments with the NP.
• Monitor adherence to medication schedules and report missed doses.
• Adhere to agency policies and medication-management requirements.
