Job summary

Blue Ridge Health is seeking a Medical Assistant or LPN to join the Behavioral Health team, with opportunities to float between clinics in Columbus, Spindale, and Arden NC. The role starts at $20.50 per hour with entry-level pay and opportunities for salary and career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
• Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant preferred; must obtain within 18 months.
• LPN licensure preferred (NC license; company will assist renewal).
• Medical phone triage experience preferred.
• Ability to float between nearby clinical sites as needed.
• Bi-Lingual preferred; language skills paid extra per hour.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral member of the Behavioral Health team in direct patient care and clinic activities.
• Assist providers with delivering quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.
• Obtain and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, etc.).
• Perform basic procedures such as blood draws and injections.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Answer phones and relay information to providers; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Contribute to a positive, cooperative team environment.
