Job summary

Family Care Center, a leading behavioral health provider with clinics nationwide, seeks a Medical Assistant at Sloan's Lake Clinic in Denver. You will assist providers, take vital signs, document in EMR, and help with injections and telemedicine. Qualifications include a high school diploma, formal MA training, 1 year MA experience, and CMA/RMA preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a formal medical assistant training program is required.
• 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred; EMR experience preferred.
• RMA or CMA certification is preferred; BLS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document chief complaint, allergies and meds.
• Measure vital signs and document in patient chart.
• Communicate with patients as directed by physician or nurse practitioner.
• Provide written prescriptions and document appropriately.
• Ensure reports, labs and information are uploaded to the chart prior to appointments.
• Triage and process messages, verify emergencies and refills.
• Document reactions to medications in the chart.
• Maintain logs and required checks ( temps, meds, oxygen, etc.).
• Schedule/reschedule/cancel follow-ups and link to authorization.
• Monitor telemedicine patients and report notable findings.
• Perform injections as needed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Formal medical assistant training program

RMA or CMA certification

BLS certification preferred
