Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health in Irving, TX seeks an LVN/LPN to provide compassionate nursing care in a behavioral health setting. You will assist with medication administration, patient assessments, and care coordination within a multidisciplinary team.

Your role involves direct patient care, thorough documentation, and adherence to safety protocols, with a rotating 12-hour daytime schedule on site. CPR/First Aid and CPI training are required within defined timelines.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program with a current state license in good standing.
• Preferred: 1 year experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorders.
• CPR and First Aid certification required; CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Eating Disorder and Mental Health Division: Serv Safe certification within 90 days, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a behavioral health population.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document administration.
• Monitor patient health status and vital signs; report changes to providers.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Maintain clinical documentation and comply with privacy regulations.
• Deliver care under RN supervision and follow nursing process.
• Transport and supervise patients for residential treatment when required.
