Oceans Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care for patients at our behavioral health facility in Louisiana. The role works under the supervision of a registered nurse within a multidisciplinary team, following Joint Commission and state regulations.

Responsibilities include delivering quality care, documenting findings, administering medications safely, and supporting patients with daily activities.

Qualifications

• Active LVN/LPN license in Louisiana.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Delivers quality nursing care to assigned patients by collecting data and reassessing according to unit protocol and policy under RN supervision.
• Accurately documents all findings in patient records and communicates pertinent assessment results.
• Implements care interventions per multidisciplinary plan and physician orders.
• Performs bedside nursing tasks, wound care, laboratory activities, and assists with activities of daily living.
• Promotes patient coping, adaptation, and communication in a culturally appropriate manner.
• Administers medications safely and educates patients about medications.
• Ensures continuity of care through chart reviews and accurate transcription of orders.
• Educates and guides new staff as a preceptor.
