Job summary

Eastern New Mexico Medical is seeking a Behavioral Health LPN for full-time night shifts to provide direct nursing care under RN supervision. The role emphasizes safe medication administration, care planning, patient education, and strong teamwork within the behavioral health unit.

The LPN will document interventions, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with physicians, RNs, and support staff to ensure high-quality care and positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of LPN experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to perform focused patient assessments and document findings.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision, monitor vitals and assist with daily living activities.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
• Develop, implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the team.
• Document care, interventions and observations accurately in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and post-discharge care.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed; participate in emergencies.
