Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Acadiana Treatment Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time day shifts at a 42-bed residential behavioral health facility serving adolescents. The LPN provides professional nursing care in a supportive, therapeutic environment according to the Nurse Practice Act and facility policies.

Responsibilities include patient health monitoring, basic nursing interventions, medication administration, and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• One or more years' nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health and administer basic nursing care within the LPN/LVN scope.
• Provide nursing care and services in a professional, empathetic manner.
• Document patient status and communicate with RNs and doctors.
• Ensure safe delivery of medications per policies and orders.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice.
