Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma hires LPNs to provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision of licensed professionals. Responsibilities include coordinating care with other departments, protecting patient rights and confidentiality, and maintaining Mercy standards.

Qualified candidates are graduates of accredited practical nursing programs with current LPN licensure. Certifications (BLS, ACLS/PALS as needed) may be required, and IV certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Licensure: current LPN license in the hiring state.
• Physical requirements: stand/walk, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Experience: new or experienced LPN.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit.
• Preferred: IV certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision of licensed prescribers or RN.
• Maintains accountability for patient care and confidentiality.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and adheres to Mercy Service Standards.
