Job summary

Signet Health is seeking full-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join Behavioral Health Services in Minot, ND. The role focuses on therapeutic, recovery-oriented nursing care for patients in acute psychiatric conditions, under supervision of a RN or licensed provider.

Responsibilities include monitoring health status, administering medications, crisis intervention, and documentation in the EHR to support safety and recovery. Experience in behavioral health is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Current North Dakota LPN license or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required within orientation period.
• LPN program evidenced by licensure.
• Hospital or behavioral health experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' mental and physical health status, observing changes in behavior, mood, risk level, symptoms, or response to treatment.
• Provide nursing care and therapeutic interventions within the LPN scope of practice and plan of care.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic response, side effects, or adverse reactions.
• Participate in crisis intervention, de-escalation, safety measures, and behavioral health protocols to maintain a secure environment.
• Document nursing care, observations, interventions, medication administration, and patient response in the EHR.
• Collaborate with RN and interdisciplinary team by communicating patient needs and changes in condition.
• Reinforce patient and family education regarding treatment, medications, coping strategies, and available resources.
