Job Description

This position is based in Robertson County Schools; location may change based on district needs.

Summary of Position

The school-based behavioral health liaison provides face-to-face consultation with teachers to support trauma-informed classrooms, promotes mental health awareness, and supports students with emotional or behavioral challenges. Responsibilities include psycho-educational groups, family-school liaison support, and assistance with IEP and trauma-informed support plans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Consult with teachers to develop trauma-informed classroom strategies.
• Train LEA personnel on mental health and substance abuse prevention.
• Facilitate communication between schools and families, assist with IEP processes, and develop support plans.
• Guide school personnel in navigating behavioral health services and crisis resources.
• Maintain documentation of services provided.
• Provide individual and group interventions focusing on coping skills and mental health education.
• Administer assessments and surveys as required.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-master’s experience in a similar role.

Certifications/Licensure: Not applicable.

Additional Information

This is a full-time role with a salary range of $43,900 - $61,370, including benefits such as health coverage, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
