Job Description

This position is based in Robertson County Schools; the specific school will be determined, and location may change based on district needs.

Summary of Position

The school-based behavioral health liaison provides face-to-face consultation with teachers to promote trauma-informed, positive classroom environments. The role includes training on childhood mental health and trauma responses, supporting youth with emotional or behavioral challenges, and assisting with IEP processes and trauma-informed support planning.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Consult with teachers to develop trauma-informed classroom strategies.
  2. Train LEA personnel on mental health and substance abuse prevention topics in various formats.
  3. Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community behavioral health systems, including support in IEP and alternative placement processes.
  4. Provide support and interventions to students, including group activities on mental health, substance use, and stress management.
  5. Administer assessments and satisfaction surveys as prescribed.
  6. Maintain documentation for monitoring and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-master's experience in a similar role.
  • No licensure required.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting 90%, standing 10%, with occasional squatting, kneeling, bending, driving, and lifting.
Additional Information

This role is full-time, with a pay range of $43,900 to $61,370 annually. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
