Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in psychology required; license preferred.
• Experience in psychological assessments, interviews, testing and behavioral management.
• Knowledge of federal and state LTC/Developmental Disability regulations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor goals through a team approach.
• Develop therapeutic and behavioral initiatives for residents to improve quality of life.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
• Conduct psychological evaluations and document results.
• Guide staff on psychological and behavioral care needs and ensure accurate documentation.
• Provide quarterly trainings on behavioral management and related diagnoses.
• Educate residents, families, and staff through scheduled or spontaneous sessions.
• Participate in audits and public health surveys when needed.
• Support quality improvement programs and related activities.
