Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field.
• 1+ years’ experience in mental/behavioral health preferred.
• Experience with managed care pre-certification and utilization preferred.
• Strong interviewing and assessment skills; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates intake, admission, and prior authorization for incoming patients.
• Performs insurance benefit verifications and communicates findings to patients and staff.
• Provides coverage for the Call Center team during high volume.
• Maintains ongoing assessment of patient status during admission and pre-certification.
• Coordinates with facility staff to determine appropriate level of care.
• Maintains all admissions documentation.
