Job summary

YFA (Youth and Family Advocates) seeks a Vice President of Behavioral Health to provide strategic and operational leadership for behavioral health interventions and prevention services, with direct oversight of program operations and leaders across Florida.

The role champions trauma-informed care, builds partnerships with state agencies and funders, drives growth of services, and fosters a collaborative, high-performance culture within the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in behavioral health.
• Ten years of progressive leadership experience in adolescent behavioral health.
• Active Florida license in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Qualified Supervisor preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of juvenile justice, child welfare, and managed care regulatory requirements in Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously with leadership and critical thinking.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight of behavioral health and prevention programs with accountability for quality and regulatory standards.
• Lead directors and managers, focusing on talent acquisition, engagement, performance, and retention.
• Establish internal relationships across departments to support program operations.
• Drive financial performance, grant/contract outcomes, and productivity while maintaining quality care.
• Build strategic partnerships with agencies, funders, and educational institutions.
• Lead growth initiatives, expanding services to meet community needs.
• Promote a trauma-informed environment and professional development.
