Job summary

Many Rivers Whole Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Group Home Worker in Great Falls, MT for a full-time, non-exempt evening shift. You will support residents with daily living activities, supervise and provide crisis intervention, and assist with medications and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a MT driver’s license, and a two-year recovery. You will engage residents in activities and coordinate transportation to Day Treatment as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or GED is required.
• One year of job-related experience is preferred.
• Valid MT driver's license and current vehicle insurance required.
• Must be in recovery for two years with no long inpatient stays.
• Knowledge of mental illness and/or substance use treatment and impact on families.
• Willingness to work nights, overnights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily living tasks in the group home, including food prep and supplies.
• Provide structure and supervision to promote resident safety.
• Perform crisis intervention.
• Monitor for relapse signs and report to clinical staff.
• Assist with medication monitoring and distribute meds.
• Maintain paperwork for clients per policy.
• Coordinate socialization and recreational activities.
• Transport to Day Treatment as needed.
• Participate in inservice training.
• Work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Duties:

• Assists in matters relating to daily living in the group home including, but not limited to procurement of food, meal preparation, purchase supplies for the home, care maintenance of the home, clean home, and grounds and supervision of the residents.
• Assists clients in problems relating to daily living activities.
• Provides a level of structure and supervision to the clients geared toward client safety and wellbeing.
• Performs crisis intervention.
• Will help provide a substance free environment within the home by monitoring clients for signs of relapse into substance use or drug seeking behaviors. Reports suspected use of drug seeking behaviors to clinical staff.
• Assist psychiatric nurse in medication monitoring for clients.
• Must complete and pass the medication training test within initial hiring probation period.
• Assists with prompting clients to take medications as prescribed and distributing prescribed medications.
• Maintains required paperwork for assigned clients in accordance with Many Rivers policy.
• Coordinates socialization and recreational activities for clients.
• Engages in activities with the clients.
• May assist with transporting clients to Day Treatment Monday through Friday and participates in Day Treatment activities.
• HIPAA compliance with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) 42 CFR.
• Must have a valid MT Driver's License, personal vehicle, and current vehicle insurance.
• Participates in inservice training as directed by immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of high school or GED is required.
• One year of job-related experience is preferred.
• Must possess a valid MT driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
• Must be in recovery for two years, without incarceration, hospitalization, or inpatient admission exceeding 72 hours in the last two years.
• Must have some knowledge and experience of mental illness and/or substance use treatment and its impact on consumer/survivors and their families.
• Must be willing to work nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Wage = $20.51/hour + DOE

Shift Differential $2.00 an hour: Weekdays from 5:00 pm – 8:00 am. Weekends Friday at 5:00 pm - Monday at 8:00 am. Holidays, 5:00 pm - 8:00 am.
