Job summary

Volunteers of America Western Washington is seeking an accounting-focused teammate to support our Behavioral Health finance functions in Everett, WA. This role coordinates contract budgets, processes payroll for program staff, and delivers timely financial reporting to leadership.

The ideal candidate holds a BS/BA in accounting or related field, demonstrates strong Excel skills, and has nonprofit accounting experience.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting, Business, or related field.
• At least 1 year of financial/budgeting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Uniform Guidance preferred.
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with payroll systems (Paycom) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full range of program financial functions with the Behavioral Health Senior Program Accountant.
• Prepare, monitor, and reconcile program budgets to funding requirements and GAAP/UGG.
• Perform monthly contract invoicing, spend-down tracking, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate payroll and labor allocation for Behavioral Health programs and ensure accurate coding.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with policies.
