Job summary

Sunrise Services, INC. is seeking an Administrator for the Enhanced Services Facility (ESF). The role oversees the 24-hour operation, ensuring residents receive high-quality care per Person-Centered Plans. Strong supervisory experience and knowledge of WA RCWs/WACs are essential.

RNs and LPNs with psychiatric experience are encouraged to apply. The position includes comprehensive benefits and requires coordination with DSHS during audits and inspections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in social services or allied field with 1 year of social service experience.
  • WA nursing license (RCW 18.79) with 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Licensed physician in WA with related experience; or
  • Licensed psychologist or psychiatrist; or
  • Qualified to provide chemical dependency/mental health services with relevant work history.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise the 24-hour ESF operation.
  • Ensure compliance with RCWs, WACs, policies, and relevant requirements.
  • Review and update ESF policies; train staff on new policy requirements.
  • Audit procedures and record-keeping; maintain QA checks quarterly.
  • Manage resident records and e-files; sign assessments and service plans.
  • Coordinate document transfer and archiving; ensure proper file organization.
  • Review incident reports; ensure proper follow-up and notifications.
  • Coordinate with DSHS for external audits and inspections.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards; drive residents as needed.

Sunrise Services, INC. is seeking an Administrator for the Enhanced Services Facility! Take the leap and join the 16-bed Enhanced Services Facility as the Manager!

About the Program:

Directs and supervises the overall 24 hour per day operation of the Enhanced Services Facility (ESF).Monitors and evaluates the overall operation, in full compliance with applicable RCWs, WACs, agency policies and local, state and federal requirements. Ensures that all residents receive the highest possible quality of care and services identified in their Person-Centered Service Plans and assessments, to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, self-care, and independence.


Work with departmentDirectorto review and update ESF policies and forms as needed to keep them current. Ensure that all staff are informed of and trained in any new policy requirements.


Audit and verify program procedures and record keeping as required.


Complete the ESF Quality Assurance checklist at least every 3 months. Work with departmentDirector to promptly resolve any deficiencies. Maintain tracking system for resolution. Report any unresolved deficiencies to the Director.


Establish and maintainin an organized,consistentand confidential manner all records requiredin the facility, including responsibility for resident efiles:


Sign final versions of resident’s assessments and service plans;


Electronically transfer approved documents into the resident’s e-folder and appropriate subfolderon the “Groups – J Drive”


Transfer documents into the appropriate Archivesfolders at the end of each year in keeping with the Sunrise Records Retention policy.


Review / sign off and process all Incident Reports; ensure appropriate followup and notifications.


Ensure full cooperation and compliance with “external” audits / inspections from agents of DSHS.


Ensure that staff provide them with access as requested to areas, materials and equipment used to provide care and support to residents, including resident and staff records, accounts and the physical premises including buildings, groundsand equipment.


Facilitate requests to privately interview staff or residents.


Work with departmentDirectorto develop a written plan of correction for any violations identifiedby DSHS. Monitor correction activities to ensure they are completed within required time frames.


Maintain an active Quality Improvement Committee and QA plan as required by WAC. Safety and Security



  • Ensure and assistin maintainingcleanliness, organization, and safety of the facility.

  • Ensure completion and appropriate follow up of monthly Site Safety Checklists;

  • Review employee Accident / Injury Reports for appropriate follow up with reporting staff and correction of any facility safety issues;

  • Ensure prompt and proper follow up and correction of any safety or maintenance related items.

  • Ensure all licensing requirements are met, while promoting the highest possible quality care of residents in accordance with applicable RCWs, WACs, DSHS policies, and Sunrise Services policies and procedures.

  • Drive residents via agency owned or personal vehicle to / from medical / therapy appointments, grocery shopping or community activities.

  • In addition to the above, any other responsibilities appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in this job description or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis.

  • Salary: $79,040 - $99,840 per year

  • Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.


Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

A Bachelor's or Master’s Degreein social services, human services, behavioral sciences or an allied field and one year of social service experienceworking with adults who have severe behavioral issues; OR


Has a valid Washington state license to practice as a nurse under RCW 18.79 and three years of clinical nursing experienceworking with adults who have severe behavioral issues; OR


Is a currently licensed physicianin Washington Statewith experience working with adults who have severe behavioral issues; OR


Is a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist; OR


Is a professional appropriately credentialed or qualified to provide chemical dependency, mental health, organic or traumatic brain injury and / or functional or cognitive services and work experiencewith adults who have severe behavioral issues.


Be a state-certified Home Care Aid (HCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). (Certification may be obtained post-hire by completing DSHS training requirements described below).



  • At least two years supervisory / management experience required.


Training Requirements

The following trainings are required , or the willingness of complete such trainings:


DSHSCore Training and Developmental Disabilities, Dementia, and Mental HealthSpecialty Training.


First Aid, CPR certification is requiredwithin 30 daysof hire


Food handler’s card


“Therapeutic Options” training


Current valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record and$50,000 automobile liability insurance requiredto transport residents in personal vehicles.


DSHS background clearance required.


Mustbe at least 21 years old.


Two step TB skin test is required unless proof of two step TB skin test is provided then one step TB skin test would be required.



  • Paid vacation - Earned at .04 per hour worked for hourly employees, and 6.67 per month for salary (equates to about 2 weeks per year for full-time employees)
