Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience required; 1–3 years preferred in behavioral health or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate discharge plans for psychiatric patients.

• Educate patients and families on treatment options.
• Participate in clinical staffing meetings.
• Advocate for patients and support program development.

Skills

Knowledge of mental health and/or chemical dependency assessments

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Experience providing therapeutic and group interventions

Basic crisis intervention skills

Ability to manage competing priorities

Understanding of patient rights, abuse reporting laws

Education
