Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Care Technician for a full-time mid-shift at our Washington, NC facility-based clinic. You will help create a therapeutic, safe group environment and attend to the welfare and basic needs of clients in the detox center, with on-the-job training provided.

Entry-level applicants are welcome; a high school diploma or GED is required, and CNA or peer-support certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Peer support certification or CNA certification a plus, but not required.
• Valid state driver’s license and auto insurance for work vehicles.

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Direct Care Technician, on the team you will be responsible for providing and maintaining a therapeutic and safe group environment and attending to the welfare and basic needs of clients. You will provide informal counseling in the detox center that involve behavioral techniques, reality therapy, supportive encouragement and socialization skills for the clients.

We Have The Following Shifts Open

Schedule

• Full time: Mid shift: 4pm to 12am during the week and every other weekend

We also offer a full benefits package for benefits-eligible positions.

What We’re Looking For
