Job summary

Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services provides intensive, short term assessment, counseling, linkage, and advocacy for adults, children, and families in crisis. The agency coordinates services with other providers to support recovery and community living, and ensures documentation meets licensure and payer requirements.

Required are a bachelors in a human services field and a valid driver's license. A drug-free workplace and background checks (CANIS, fingerprints) are part of the process,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or other approved Human Services degree.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.

Responsibilities

• Provides intensive, short term assessment, linkage, counseling, and advocacy services to adults, children, and families in behavioral health crisis.
• Works as part of the team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers.
