Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services is seeking a licensed clinical professional to provide crisis intervention, evaluation, and outpatient treatment planning within Virginia’s system. Responsibilities include screening for hospitalization, monitoring MOT, and coordinating services to support community living.

The role emphasizes licensure-related incentives and potential wage progression, with a strong focus on serving adults, families, and diverse populations in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (30 credit hours or more) in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Services with licensure coursework for Virginia licenses.
• Experience providing mental health or substance use services to adults, children, adolescents, and families.
• Documented crisis intervention experience within the past five years.
• Eligible to obtain Virginia pre-screener certification within six months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provides face-to-face and telephone crisis intervention and stabilization, diagnostic evaluation and treatment need assessment.
• Pre-admission screening for private/state psychiatric hospitalization; monitors MOT attendance and follow-up.
• Develops clinical plans of services and facilitates engagement in outpatient treatment.
• Coordinates services among providers to support community living.
